Design Tham & Videgård

Founded in Stockholm in 1999 by Bolle Tham and Martin Videgård, the architecture practice Tham & Videgård, twice winner of the Kasper Salin Prize (2008 for the Kalmar Museum of Art, 2015 for the KTH School of Architecture) and author of the Tree Hotel in Harads, signs with Babel w264 a semi-recessed ceiling light with a graphic cone. Its founders, members of the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts, had already designed Alma w171 for W+ (formerly Wästberg).

The cone tilts on a ball joint and rotates freely, directing light towards a wall, a counter or a table. Offered in two sizes, R1 and R2, Babel can be used alone or in compositions: at 3daysofdesign 2026, W+ presented it as an interactive wall of more than fifty large Babels.

Aluminium body, COB LED (CRI 90, 2700 K as standard, 3000 K on request) and two control options: phase-cut or DALI / Push-dim. Semi-recessed ceiling installation must be carried out by a professional; cut-out dimensions are available on request.
