  • Replaceable high-performance battery

    The high-performance battery has been rigorously selected according to our strict criteria for quality, charge cycles, lifespan, and environmental impact. It is easily replaced via the access panel located under the light fixture.

  • Simple recharging

    Once charged, the Faro w241's battery offers 7.5 to 20 hours of runtime depending on the selected brightness level. Charging time is 4 hours. A color indicator under the light shows the remaining battery capacity at a glance.

  • Corrubedo Palette

    Made from die-cast aluminum, the w241 Faro is available in five painted finishes as well as in raw tumbled aluminum (see below). The color palette is inspired by the small port of Corrubedo in Spain, which is also home to David Chipperfield's Bar do Porto, featuring the same color scheme.

  • Group control

    The Faro w241 remote control (accessory) allows you to control up to 25 lamps simultaneously: switching on/off, setting to predefined intensities or gradual variation of brightness.

  • Indoors, outdoors, everywhere

    The high-performance Faro w241 indoor lamp becomes portable when needed. Its aesthetics and hybrid performance impress with or without a power cord. Its IP54 rating guarantees resistance to dust and splashes of water, making it ideal for temporary outdoor use.

  • Raw Aluminum Option

    The w241 Faro is available in a raw aluminum finish, without any added treatment or coating. This allows for resource-efficient production, easy recycling, and a beautiful aging process. From the outset, its naturally textured surface offers a rich tactile depth; over time, marks, stains, fingerprints, and oxidation will evolve into a unique and distinctive patina.

David Chipperfield

David Chipperfield founded David Chipperfield Architects in 1985. He developed a design methodology now applied in his five offices located in London, Berlin, Milan, Shanghai and Santiago de Compostela.

In addition to his design work, David Chipperfield has taught and lectured worldwide. In 2012, he curated the 13th International Architecture Exhibition of the Venice Biennale, titled Common Ground , and was a guest editor of the Italian design magazine Domus in 2020.

Among the distinctions received by David Chipperfield are the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany and a knighthood for services to architecture. In 2011, he received the Royal Gold Medal from the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects), and in 2013, the Praemium Imperiale from the Japan Art Association. In 2021, David Chipperfield was made a Fellow of the Order of the Companions of Honour and was named the 2023 Pritzker Architecture Prize laureate in recognition of his lifetime achievement.
