With ZaZa, Naoto Fukasawa stretches the seat of his Za stool (2021) — "Za" means "a place to sit" in Japanese — into a bench. New for 2026, it comes in three lengths: 38, 122 and 183 cm.
Handmade in Hanover, Pennsylvania, from 80% recycled aluminium. Lifetime warranty.
One piece, 77 steps
Cutting, forming, welding, heat treatment, hand brushing, anodising: 77 manufacturing steps for a bench made in a single piece, with no screws or fixings. The seat, set at a slightly obtuse angle, keeps the sit bones from sliding.
"Anyone who sees ZaZa will hardly doubt that it is Emeco's inevitable form." — Naoto Fukasawa
Indoors and out
For indoor and outdoor use, approved for marine environments. Complies with ANSI/BIFMA X5.4; aluminium is naturally fireproof. Delivered fully assembled, on TPU glides.
