The Colour Wood dining table, designed by Scholten & Baijings for Karimoku New Standard. Made of tinted Japanese chestnut, it extends the series into a dining format. The 95 version (square, 95 cm) comes in a solid finish (Plain) or as Grid.

Solid Japanese chestnut from sustainably managed forests, tinted “Transparent Color” finish + protective coat. Plain: three finishes (Pure Chestnut, Grain Gray, Grain Matt Black). Grid: grid pattern on a grey ground. W 95 × D 92.6 × H 74 cm. Design Scholten & Baijings.

Colour Wood sits down to dinner
The Colour Wood series in a dining format. Tinted Japanese chestnut becomes a large square table with a warm, graphic presence — seating four in the 95 version.
Plain or Grid
The 95 comes as a solid finish (Plain), in three chestnut finishes — Pure Chestnut, Grain Gray, Grain Matt Black — or as Grid, a screen-printed grid on a grey ground. Solid chestnut, tinted finish + coat.
Scholten & Baijings
Stefan Scholten and Carole Baijings, a Dutch studio based in Amsterdam, are known for their meticulous work on colour and pattern. For Karimoku New Standard they compose Colour Wood, where the tint becomes the essential.
