Solid wood + Steel
Birch or Oak

The wall shelf in its purest form.

The A01 shelf is the most compact module of the Variand system. Perfect for displaying objects and books, it stacks and combines with all the other modules. Tool-free assembly.

Wood and metal, nothing else: the board is held on the steel body by magnets set into the wood, so no screw interrupts the line. The shelf hangs on the rail by Variand's patented mechanism — it only comes off when tilted upwards by at least 20° — and can be moved at will.

Frequently asked questions

What load can it take?
Correctly mounted on an ordinary wall, a Variand shelf module carries up to 15 kg evenly distributed; the wall itself is the deciding factor.

Which walls can the rail be fixed to?
Any sound wall: concrete, brick, timber or load-bearing plasterboard. Porous walls in older buildings call for caution; all-purpose screws and wall plugs come with the rails.

How should it be cared for?
The wooden surfaces are protected by a clear water-based lacquer. A soft cloth and a little water are enough; avoid harsh cleaning products.

Convertible

Every Variand piece transforms with a single gesture. A coat rack that becomes a desk, a shelf that reinvents itself — designed to follow daily life without compromise.

Modular

One rail, endless possibilities. Variand accessories clip on, slide and combine freely along the wall rail — your interior adapts to your needs, not the other way around.
