FRANÇOIS LAFORTUNE

Trained in cabinetmaking at the École Boulle (Paris) and then in industrial design at ECAL (Lausanne), François Lafortune develops a practice where craftsmanship meets industry.

Since 2021, he has been pursuing his independent design work alongside collaborations with established studios such as Big-Game Design in Switzerland. His work explores diverse territories—from furniture to robotics—with the same requirement: to find singularity in the ordinary.

This dual culture, between the craftsman's skill and the rigor of industrial design, fosters an approach where each object is designed to last and meet the challenges of our time.
