François Lafortune

Trained in cabinet-making at École Boulle (Paris) and then in industrial design at ECAL (Lausanne), François Lafortune develops a practice where craft meets industry.

Since 2021, he runs his own design practice in parallel with collaborations with established studios such as Big-Game in Switzerland. His work explores varied territories — from furniture to robotics — with the same demand: finding singularity in the ordinary.

This double culture, between the cabinet-maker's gesture and the rigour of industrial design, fuels an approach where every object is designed to last and to meet the challenges of our time.
